Hi, I'm lin56 and welcome to my website :D
I'll use it as a blog/presentation page for my projects and my thoughts.

What is this about?

I decided to make this as a way to share my hobbies (mostly).
I'm not really a social media person (I just lurk and use them to chat with my friends), but years ago I used to create a lot online.
I didn't stop creating stuff but I wasn't really sharing them anymore and I missed that.

Then, what are your hobbies?

These are the main topics you'll probably see here.
I may also write about other things once in a while. Or whenever I want actually.

Language learning

Mandarin Chinese is my main focus these days. I'm still pretty bad at it but I'm making progress :)
I also learn Japanese. I'm pretty advanced but I still practice a lot (mostly immersion and SRS) to maintain a decent level.
I may also talk about other languages in the future.

I will share my views on language learning, my workflow, softwares I like, tips, etc.

Dev (and game dev)

I work as a developer. When I'm not at work, I develop side projects.
In other words, I program a lot and I like it.

I also make video games and I would like to share them here :)

Music

I make music and I will share my creations here. I may also drop some recs.

I'm mostly a guitarist and bassist, but I dabble with a bunch of instruments.
I've also got into DAWs and I try to make interesting stuff.

How did you craft this blog?

Before you ask, yes, the wonky/cringey aspect of this site is voluntary.
This is not a professional blog. I don't care about CEO or monetization or whatever.

This website was originally planned to be on nekoweb (something similar to neocities) but I decided to make something a bit more ambitious.

I'm crafting this with pure PHP (and hope).
I like to build stuff from scratch so I decided to not use an SSG or a framework.

I write my articles in Markdown, add them to a folder and boom, new page. How convenient.

This is also a cool and fun dev project that I can work on, that isn't related to work!
